Coach- Frank Dressel,
Frank - an Engineering Teacher -- is the Coach of Robotics Team 931, and a Woodie Flowers Award Winner. Frank has been with the Team from the Start in 2001, and puts in tons of time and effort. Without, Frank, Team 931 would not be what it is today. There are endless comments about what Frank does for the Team. But more importantly, each student has an endless amount of appreciation for the commitment that Mr. Dressel gives to the team.

Charlie Blair
Mr. Blair - an Electrical Engineering Teacher - is the FTC Robotics Coach for 3 Teams at Gateway.
Charlie's FTC Teams had a great 2009 season. At the St. Louis Regional competition the teams placed 1, 7, and 12th overall. The 1st place team lost in a tough Finals, but set many scoring records at the regional. They will also compete in Cape at the end of February!
Charlie works with the 3 teams, and in 2008 Fall Season, the Teams Placed 3rd, 3rd, and 1st at the Florissant Valley Competition!
The teams are hard at work, you can catch them in action at Florissant Valley Community College on December 5th!

St. Louis Public School Members
Richard Wallace - The St. Louis Regional's Outstanding Volunteer 2007 Award Winner!!!!
Richard Wallace has been one of the driving forces behind our team. While he was working at Emerson, Richard could always be found in the Robotics Room during Build Season. This past year, he moved to Michigan, but was still in constant contact via the blog, emails and phone calls. He even promised to die his hair Green for the St. Louis Region - if we brought back a victory in Kansas City. While in Michigan, he watched the matches online, and in St. Louis fulfilled his obligation and dyed his hair green on Friday - Pictured Above! A huge thanks to Richard Wallace from Team 931 for supporting us from across the nation!AB-INBEV'S
Joe Wilson --is an Electrical Engineer at AB, he helps with everything from Orbit balls to Robot Design. He helped a lot with the Brain Storming and mediating the discussions. We have been greatful for Joe's involvement especially since his schedule is very hectic. Joe was instrumental in helping our team push the envelope and examine ways to take the team to the next level. Joe was also willing to travel with the team which showed the students tremendous amounts of support.

A Carpenter by trade, Merv has great abilities when it comes to fabricating parts, assmebly, and is a great sounding board for new ideas and how to bring them to fruition.
Merv is also very supportive of all team activities, travels with the team, shows great team spirit, and is going to be our Santa Claus at a pancake dinner in December. Team 931 would like to send a out a gracious and heartfelt Thanks, to our own - Merv Shrock!
